The Seneca Trail RC&D was an organization that was tied to the US Department of Agriculture and served five counties of Western New York State. Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Livingston and Wyoming Counties as well as the Seneca Nation on the Board. The focus of the organization was on agricultural and forestry related issues for development, conservation and natural resources in general. It was a proponet of new technology and continued strong support of the agriculture and forest sectors within these counties. The Council offered assistance with grant finding and sometimes grant writing if approved by the Board of Directors.
